VBS is over!!

Well we did it! We made it through an exciting week of VBS. As tired as I am and as bad as my house looks, I still have to say...I LOVE VBS!!! Doesnt this cut out thing look great? It is one of the many things Melissa and Sarah did to help me. How great does Pastor look? He is such a good sport.

Taylor sure has come along way! She is always so quiet and doesnt like to be up in front of people. She asked if she could help me teach the music. How cool is that? I had a blast with her up there with me this week!

Katelyn was one our youth helpers. She and Savanah also enjoyed participating in the music. It's nice to know they are not yet too cool to have fun. I am still having a hard time grasping how old the girls are. I kept thinking I had to get them registered for VBS. I guess I still want them to be little. Well....ok, maybe not. But I am still not old enough to have girls this age!!!!

Atleast there is still Chance. He will always be my baby. It will be a sad day when he is too old for VBS. And what a ham. He really likes to be in front of the camera.

We had a really great week! We enrolled 62 kids. Our high attendance day was Tuesday with 55 kids and 44 workers. Wow!! There were alot of seeds planted this week. Everyone really stepped up to the plate and pitched in to help. It is awesome to see people getting involved in the church.

Amazing blessings...special friends.

We had such an amazing time last week! It was a rough start with Dave heading back to Iraq but the Lord put some wonderful people in my path to fill that void. A team from Tennessee came to do some work in our church. We were truly blessed by their presence and their love and service for the Lord.

I was so fortunate to be able to share my home and spend time getting to know this team. They each hold a very special place in my heart. They worked so hard on the balcony at the church and helping us with VBS. We were able to get so much accomplished. We also drank alot of coffee. It's always great to find someone who enjoys coffee and is up for a cup no matter what time of day or night. ;-) Melissa, Sarah and I formed such a great bond. We shared alot of laughter and tears. We decided it was probably for the best that they didnt stay with me for the week. I dont think we would have gotten much sleep.

Paul and Larry were great! I couldnt have asked for better guests. I was a little nervous at first when Pastor said two guys would be staying here and one of them was an Executive Pastor. I'm not sure why we get hung up on certain titles. He's a regular person just like the rest of us. Well...for the most part anyway. ;-) They were alot of fun and have a great sense of humor!

What an amazing job the team did on the balcony. It is beautiful!

Yay...he's finally home!

We have been waiting 4 long months for this day to come. Twenty-two out of thirty hours on a plane and finally we get to hold him in our arms. What a great feeling. We have missed him so much. I hope these next 2 weeks go by as slow as the last 4 months. I forgot my camera (again). I am gonna have to get a second one to keep in the car so I will have one pretty much wherever I go. Thankfully Pastor was thinking and brought his. This is a moment we will want to remember always.

What a great family we have been blessed with. And look no silly faces. Only very happy smiles. We love our man!!

We are going to pack alot of fun quality family time into this next couple of weeks while trying not to think about the end. It is going to be alot harder letting him leave again. But we need to concentrate on the right now and enjoy every second we have with him. ;-)
