The last four months...

a lot has happened in the last four months. But here are some pics of the most important and the most exciting things that went on.

The loss of Dave's dad. It was heartbreaking and yet we still got to celebrate because he accepted the Lord about 2 months before he died. I will never forget the peaceful look on his face after he prayed that prayer. WOW!

Katelyn graduated from middle school. It is hard to believe I will now have two kids in highschool next year.

And of course VBS! We survived another week with all the kids. We had such an exciting week this year. Three kids made decisions to give their hearts to the Lord! GO GOD!!

One year ago today...

was the day I started this blog. It was the day before Dave left for Iraq. He was only supposed to be gone for a year and we were wondering if he would even make it that long. The economy is still in such bad shape that he has to go back. So today, almost a year to the day I had to take him to the airport again and say goodbye. This is the third time I have had to do this since he left the first time. You would think it would have gotten easier by now. But we are truly thankful that God is providing for us during these hard times. HE IS FAITHFUL!!!

Strikes, spares and gutterballs

Probably more gutterballs than anything...from me and the kids anyway. Although everyone did get atleast one strike. Pastor and Betty did really well. They each one a game. Taylor didnt bowl but had a great time just the same.

I love this picture of Katelyn. Its almost like she is walking away disgusted but looking back in hopes that more would fall.

.
Chance did really well. This was his first time bowling. He really improved on the second game almost doubling his score. He held nothing back. He would almost run up there and throw that ball like there was no tomorrow.

Taylor just hung out and listened to her ipod. She isnt really into bowling. I think she would have had more fun had she tried. But she was content to sit and watch. She is giving Betty a little inspiration music. Not that she needed it.

Chance was getting a little help from Pastor. It seemed to work because he sure improved. I only beat him by 20 points the second game.

We had a great afternoon! Hopefully the kids bickering didnt drive Pastor and Betty too crazy.

Aww...somebody loves me.

My sweet hubby sent me some beautiful roses and a teddy bear today. How sweet and thoughtful.

Thanks babe. I love and miss you too!

2009?!!

Wow!! Everyone always says the older you get the faster time goes. If it keeps up this pace I will 60 next week. I cant believe it is already 2009.

I am not making any new year resolutions this year. Why set yourself up for failure the first day of the year? I am just going to do my best at being a better person this year...work harder to become the person, wife, mother and friend that God wants me to be. And if I happen to lose 30-40 lbs in the process then YAY!!! But its not a resolution. ;-)
